Developing Resources and Opportunities for People and Communities
The Minnesota Valley Action Council (MVAC) is a Community Action Agency helping those in need secure affordable housing, viable transportation, employment and training for employment, as well as creating educational opportunities for children. Established in 1965 under the Equal Opportunity Act, MVAC serves the people of Region Nine in Southern Minnesota.
MVAC is not part of the government, nor is it a political entity. MVAC is a private, non-profit organization that uses federal, state and local resources to provide assistance wherever needed. This assistance comes in the form of established programs in six main program areas available for people in low-wage work. Residents in need in Blue Earth, Brown, Faribault, Le Sueur, Martin, Nicollet, Sibley, Waseca and Watonwan counties count on MVAC for resources and opportunities that help improve their situation and quality of life.

MVAC VITA Tax Site is NO Longer Taking Clients
Due to the overwhelming response for tax preparations, Minnesota Valley Action Council (MVAC) can not take any more tax clients.
In order to serve those clients that we have packets in for, we must stop taking on any new tax clients.
Thank you to those that have sent in their information and made this a most successful tax year!
If you have a packet you can still send it in.
