Head Start Family Advocate – Blue Earth and Brown County – Temporary Position
Responsibilities include:
Temporary position opens now thru May 2022. Responsible to provide Head Start services to support family well-being and family engagement to enrolled participants. Direct services include family assessment, family goal setting, parent engagement, health, mental health, and nutrition. Provide referrals and connect families to community resources. Conduct outreach, recruitment, and family partnership visits in the home. Develop and maintain professional working relationships with families, partners, co-workers, and supervisors. Degree in social work, human services, family services, counseling or a related field required; LSW preferred. Experience working with families is required. Must demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills. Bilingual beneficial. 1 position – 40 hours/week with time split between Mankato and New Ulm office locations.
