Head Start Mental Health and Disabilities Advisor – Mankato, MN
Responsibilities include:
Responsible for overseeing the delivery of mental health and disabilities program services to all Head Start children ages birth to 5 years old and families. Responsible for overseeing and coordinating early intervention and preventive mental health and disability services. Ensure completion and follow up of the child mental health and disabilities program requirements. Responsible for overseeing mental health consultation services and provide coaching to staff using reflective practice. Develop and maintain professional working relationships with families, partners, co-workers, and other service providers. Must demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills. Bilingual beneficial. 40 hours a week. In area travel required for position. Applicant must have BA/BS degree in psychology, mental health and /or disabilities services, or qualifying related degree; licensed professional clinical counselor preferred; a strong understanding of typical and atypical development of children from birth to age five; experience with early childhood services and with families with complex needs; knowledge of and experience with mental health resources and referral agencies. $25.09/hour. with degree.
