Head Start Nutrition Advisor – Administrative Office

Responsible to plan, develop, implement and monitor the delivery of Nutrition Services that are culturally and developmentally appropriate to Head Start children and families.  Responsible to oversee and coordinate the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) Plan for MVAC and meet the nutritional needs of and accommodate the feeding requirements of each child, including children with special dietary needs and/or disabilities.  These services will include ensuring completion and follow up of child program nutrition requirements, CACFP documentation, reporting requirements and staff training. Applicant must have a BS/MA related degree in nutrition services; Registered Dietician preferred. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in nutrition field and knowledge of nutritional needs from prenatal to children age 5 preferred.  This position requires strong computer, good communication and organizational skills.  Technical writing and training skills desirable. Bilingual beneficial. 35 hours per week.  $21.64 per hour. Health insurance is offered and benefits include paid holidays and vacation.  Submit application to MVAC HR, 706 N.
