Voter Registration

Home / Voter Registration

Voter turnout for presidential elections has remained at an all time low since 1976. Barely 54% of eligible voters go and vote. Almost one third of voting age Americans are unable to vote because they have not registered to vote.

Of all unregistered voters, 66% are from low-income households. If low-income people are not registered to vote or do not vote once they are registered, their concerns will not be heard.

Voter registration is a very simple process. Minnesota Valley Action Council staff can help you with it. The forms are in each south central Minnesota county office. Visit our office and tell us you would like to register to vote. We will be happy to help you.
