MVAC provides employment services to those receiving cash assistance through MFIP and DWP. Services include:
- Identifying skills
- Developing plans for job search and employment
- Classes on pursuing and retaining jobs
- Support services
- Guidance for job retention

Senior Community Services Employment Program (SCSEP)
Availability
Blue Earth, Brown, Faribault, Martin, Nicollet, and Watonwan counties
Eligibility
- At least 55 years of age
- Income eligible
- Unemployed
Program Description
The Senior Community Services Employment Program (SCSEP) offers opportunities to people age 55 and over to gain work skills through paid work experience. Participants work part time hours each week at schools, museums, day care centers, and hospitals, to name a few. The program is designed to provide job training and support with the goal of moving to a job in the regular job market.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment Training (SNAP)

Program Description
SNAP helps people receiving food support prepare for and become employed. Your worker will complete an individual assessment and help develop a plan for getting a job. It will provide information on how to look for work, how to interview, resume writing, and other job search activities.

WIOA Adult And Dislocated Worker Programs

Determined by Job Service staff located at the Fairmont, Mankato, or New Ulm WorkForce Centers
Program Description
MVAC county offices are partners in the Minnesota WorkForce Center System. We coordinate with Job Service staff at the WorkForce Centers to deliver the WIOA Adult and Dislocated Worker programs which provide a variety of services to help you find suitable employment. Services may include:
- One-on-one case management
- Career planning and counseling
- Job search and placement services
- Counselor approved training
- Limited support services
